Trotro drivers to set on strike over high fuel prices

Commercial transport companies in Ghana have given notice that they will park their trucks on November 9, 2021, to press for a significant decrease in petroleum product taxes.
Mr. Yaw Barimah, a spokesman for the Committed Drivers Association, gave this notification in an interview with Kwame Appiah Kubi on Accra100.5 FM’s ‘Ghana Yensom.’
At a meeting on Tuesday, the leadership of transport companies, including the Ghana Private Roads Transport Union, Ghana National Cargo Transport Association, Ghana Committed Drivers Association, and Concerned Drivers Association, reached this conclusion, according to him.
Alhaji Moro Abass, National Commissioner, was among the leaders present at the conference.
