    President Akufo-Addo Praised By Guineans For Being A True Democrat

    Nana Addo Dankwa Akofo-Addo, the President of Ghana has been praised by the people of Guinea for his faithfulness to democracy and Constitutional rule as a lot of people gathered just to welcome him to Guinea and cheered him for his arrival on Friday, September 17, 2021, to meet the coup leader, Mamady Doumbouya for a serious conversation towards the return of Guinea to Democratic rule.

    Sulley Diallo, a Guinea journalist revealed on Accra -based Citi FM that, Guinea considers Akufo -Addo as a democrat to extent that he has disclosed to them that he will leave office in 2024 when his second term ends.

    The people were excited to see Nana Addo in Conakry because he is a great role model.

    After Doumbouya took over he said “I’m going to be a model like Jerry Rawlings, so (for the) president (came) from Ghana, the Guineans appreciate (him)” he revealed.

    This news comes indifferent as suggesting that the ECOWAS delegation was embarrassed by Guineans in his attempt to return the country to civilian rule.

    For the moment, President Akofo-Addo, as a chairman of the Economic Community of West African States(ECOWAS) had time with Colonel Mamady Doumbouya in the Capital of Conakry and held conversations with him on the return of Guinea to Democratic rule.

    ECOWAS had already forced sanctions on the coup leader and his accomplice commanding them to return the country to Democratic rule within six months.

    Colonel Mamady Doumbouya received massive support from the citizen of the country for overthrowing Alpha Condé, who had changed the constitution to his interest just to run for the third term.

    The coup leader says the six months period is not enough for Guinea to return to Constitutional rule because of the current situation in the country
