Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Samuel Kwasi Ofori who is the Public Relation Officer of the Ghana police service has cautioned some churches to reduce noice making
According to the ACP, a meeting was held on Monday, October 25, 2021, between the police and the leaders of the churches which they warned the church leaders to reduce the making of noise in Church services
He declared that they the have right to do their services in peace but not to the extent that it will disturb other peoples peace
The police PRO revealed this when he was interviewed on Onua TV with Captain Smart
He continued that, people have been reporting to the police that churches in their communities make lots of noise
He added that, according to the law, there are some limits for a church service but if Christians go beyond that limits, they cause disturbances to the community
On a more serious note, the leaders of various churches that were present at the meeting last Monday were aware of the warnings of the IGP that, if they go against the law they will pay the price.
