Police manhunt for a Kumasi-based fraudster for duping about close to a thousand individuals with the claim of giving them loans for business.
A report gathered by Docupdates.com reveals that the man identified as Sarkodie started a financial business called Optimum Entrepreneurship Fund with the format of offering people loans, especially women to enhance their business.
The policies of his business indicated that interested individuals should register with an amount of GH¢ 50 before one can become a member and be eligible to secure a loan from his firm.
He added that every loan has an interest of 10% imposed on it and you have to use the whole year to pay it back.
Sarkodie was able to register close to 1000 people and he later asked to make some deposits and these people also followed his instructions.
After receiving the deposited huge amount of money from victims, he suddenly disappeared and he is nowhere to be found.
According to his workers, they only know his name as Sarkodie but on his Facebook page, he has a different name there with multiple accounts.
The workers were arrested by the Santasi-Kokoben police and have been granted bail now.
