Parliament goes on Christmas break after fighting over the E-levy bill

The Parliament of Ghana has proceeded to a Christmas break after fighting over the E-levy bill in Parliament.
According to reports, they didn’t pass the 1.75% E-levy which was placed on electronic transactions in the 2022 budget.
The First Deputy Speaker, Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu impetrated by the Majority leader to adjourn the house for the members to refresh their mind the hot ‘wrestling‘.
The Parliament will resume on January 18, 2022, after the Christmas holidays.
The Minority leader, Haruna Iddrisu emphasized that the break is very relevant because it will give room for more consultations on all pertinent issues.
