The Traditional Authority of Tatale, Ghana’s Northern Region, has prohibited night Jamz.
This is owing to the district’s declining educational standards, according to a statement given by Tatale’s Paramount Chief, Obore Gariba Yankosor II, on January 2, 2022.
“It has been revealed that most youngsters indulge in night Jamz at the price of their schoolwork,” according to the statement.
“I would like to draw the attention of the people of Tatale to a decision made by the traditional authority, assembly members, political leaders, security services, and other interested parties on the suspension of night Jamz,” the statement said.
However, from 6 a.m. until 6 p.m., Jamz is permitted.
