    “My spirit left me when I entered Nsawam prison” – Akuapem poloo speaks on her prison experience

    Ghanaian actress Rosemond Alade Brown, widely known as Akuapem Poloo has opened up her bitter experiences while in prison after her appeal was dismissed.

    The actress revealed that she was forced to eat hard banku and groundnut soup without meat and also went through some horrific traditions in the prison.

    Akuapem Poloo was interviewed by Captain Smart on Onua TV and she revealed although she was treated well by some of the prison officers her eating condition was poor.

    She continued that, as soon as they served her with banku and groundnut soup with some insect in the soup, she refused to eat but she was forced to eat it.

    She added that she was then instructed to remove all her clothes and she followed the instructions, they did her massive searching to find out maybe she has a weapon or any bad substance on her.

    Akuapem Poloo was bounced back into prison after the court declared her appeal dismissed and was asked to go and continue her 90-days jail term.

    She was released out of prison after her charge was later returned into a fine which was settled by her lawyers.
