Kofi Amoabeng Reveals He Used To Booze When Going After Loan Defaulters

Ghanaian businessman cum former military officer prince Kofi Amoabeng has revealed how he used to recollect monies from the people who takes loans from his bank that has been collapsed

Mr. Prince reveals this in an interview on Peace FM’s programme ‘ Kokrokoo’ that, he used different and special ways to chase clients who failed in paying their loans

He continued that, Ghanaians was in a hurry for coming for loans in UT Bank because of how easy and fast way they provide their services

UT Bank was closed by the Bank of Ghana because they weren’t able to meet the amount required on August 7, 2017

“Despite repeated agreements between the Bank of Ghana and UT Bank and Capital Bank to implement an action plan to address these significant shortfalls, the owners and managers of UT Bank and Capital Bank were unable to increase the capital of the banks to address the insolvency,” BoG statement read.

He indicated that, before anybody could get a loan from UT bank, he or she has to transfer his or her car, house or anything that value as the loan to the Bank’s name before his wishes can be granted

“the car the person is driving is UT car. So if we’re collecting it, it’s because it’s our car”.

“One thing I used to do is that if you don’t come to redeem yourself and I come to your house to meet your absence, I will search for where they sell Guinness and strategically sit there watching your gate. If you’re lucky and I drink one or two, then it means I am not drank yet, but if you keep long and I gulp about four or five bottles, then you are in trouble when I find you,” he said.
