IGP Dampare told to refund monies to failed police recruitment applicants
The leader and chairperson for Convention People’s Party (CPP), Nana Akosua Frimponmaa has called on the Inspector-General of Police (IGP) to launch an investigation on the recruitment process into the Police Service that was done last year.
She appealed to the IGP to ensure that monies that were paid by the failed applicants should be refunded to enable them to sort out their loses
The chair made this known in her New Year Message to Ghanaians as she stated that applicants spent their resources to undergo the process so if it wasn’t successful then their monies should be refunded to them.
In her words, “I will like to commend the IGP for the work he has done so far since he came into office but I have one appeal to him.
“Recently, we all saw the number of people who applied to enter the Police.
“These young ones paid huge fees but weren’t recruited and so my appeal to him is to investigate this matter and ref8nd their moneys to them,”
