FIFA calls on GFA over South Africa penalty protest

FIFA  has released a press that indicates, the Ghana Football Association has from November 17, 2021, to 20th November 2021 to submit any comments and documents about the protest filed against them by the South Africa Football Association concerning World Cup qualification

“In view of the foregoing, the Ghana Football Association has the opportunity to provide the secretariat of FIFA Disciplinary Committee with any comments it deems appropriate on the aforementioned protest, if any, by 20 November 2021 at the latest, along with any document deemed necessary.”

“Finally for the sake of clarity please be informed that the FIFA Disciplinary Committee will decide on the protest using the file on its possession (cf. art. 20 par. 5 of the FDC).”

The protest will be submitted to the FIFA Disciplinary Committee on November 23, 2021, for discussion and consideration

“Furthermore, we wish to inform the South Africa Football Association as well as the Ghana Football Association that the above-mentioned protest will be submitted to a member of the FIFA Disciplinary Committee on 23 November 2021 for consideration and decision in accordance with art 14(9) of the Regulations FIFA World Cup 2022, Preliminary Competition as well as art 46 and 54 of the FIFA Disciplinary Code (FDC).”

Meanwhile, the South Africa players and football Officials have submitted their allegations that the Senegalese referee Maguette Ndiaye call for a false penalty for Black Stars during the match against them

According to Danny Jorden who is the president of the South Africa Football Association declares that they want full investigation because they contacted the CAF president for assistance as soon as the game was over

On a more serious note, the goalkeeper and the Captain for South Africa reveals that the referee warned them on how he will punish them before the starting of the game
