“Apologize for slamming Nigerian artistes” – Yul Edochie tells Shatta Wale

Nigerian actor Yul Edochie had shared a post advising Ghanaian dancehall artiste Shatta Wale to apologize for slamming Nigerian artistes.

The Shatta Movement Boss slammed the Nigerian artistes on Sunday during his ‘Freedom concert’ at Ghanaian stadium.

Shatta voiced out that, “They said I won’t be able to fill my own stadiums, I don’t need any Nigerian artiste to sell out Ghana’s stadium, f**k Nigerian artistes,”

He wrote: “Dear Shatta Wale, coming out to say ‘F**k Nigerian artistes’ is extreme and too low for a man like you. That’s hate.

“I remember when Nigerian movie producers were giving all the lead roles to Ghanaian actors a few years back, no Nigerian ever came out to say ‘F**k Ghanaian actors’.

“I have lots of fans from Ghana who send me goodwill messages daily, inviting me to Ghana and I appreciate all of them.

“I’m a fan of your music. Your track with Beyonce is always on repeat in my car.

“No matter what is pissing you off, a man like you with a large fan base should be using it to promote peace and unity among Africans and the rest of the world. You should apologize for such a statement.”

I am touched by what Yul Edochie said. Please apologize for the sake of peace and if not for anyone, do it for Mr Edochie. He’s too humble to be turned down for this request.
It’s true that African artiste should rather use their talent to promote development of African and to compel our corrupt, greedy and selfish leader to show good leadership.
Our artistes in the movie and music industry should come out with movies and songs that depict how corruption, greed and avariciousness among African leaders keeps on plunging the continent into the abyss of poverty. We have all the natural resources in the world, yet we are the poor of the poorest in the world. Please let your movies and songs hit hard on our leaders through constructive criticisms so that they can be roused to the reality of our plight.
